welcome!
"We first saw Ludwell Stores 15 years ago.
We drove down from Essex on a brilliant May morning with our two young children. We had secured the first viewing. We stayed for one hour and placed an offer for the asking price on the way home. By the time we reached Fleet Services our offer had been accepted and we were prospective shopkeepers. We are not generally so reckless, but on this occasion we were sure it was the correct decision that this appeared to be perfectly rational conduct. If you feel that Ludwell Stores is for you, it probably is! It is a unique and very characterful little shop and we feel proud to be a small part of its 200+ year history. We thought it beguilingly traditional but have also found it to be an evergreen little business which has sustained us through recessions, lockdowns, Brexit and all other economic, political and social crises. We have now reached a crossroads that will take us down a new route. Our young children have grown and we are all ready for new adventures. Perhaps Ludwell Stores is yours..." |
